She graduated from Columbia College, Chicago, with a bachelor’s degree in art and design. She spent the first half of her career as a creative graphic designer and art director. Later, she switched gears to open her own children’s clothing store in Evanston, which she sold in 2010. Mimi joined the practice in 2013.

As our Office Boss, she works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure our office systems (and team) work smoothly and efficiently.

Using her bachelor’s from University of Illinois and master’ from University of Iowa, Mary was a social worker in child welfare before joining the firm in 2017. She still works part-time training foster and adoptive parents, and as a Liaison for grad students.

A proud mother and grandmother, Mary also makes gorgeous quilts to mark special occasions for family and friends.

At the firm, she is the first stop for all purchases and sales. She collects preliminary information and sets every transaction in motion.

Brendan McNicholas

At his core, Brendan is a sports fanatic who lives for soccer and lacrosse. He volunteers with OWLS Lacrosse (Outreach With Lacrosse and Schools) to help Chicago kids succeed on and off the field.

Brendan was drawn to the real estate business early in his career. Learning the ropes at North American Title Insurance, he soon moved to ATA National Title and quickly rose to become an Escrow Closer, working closely with lenders and attorneys.

At our firm, he coordinates all aspects of the closing process. He helps clients with pre-closing questions, closing figures, and making sure all the right bills get paid. He works hard to help make the closing process as easy as possible for clients.

Susan Jenks

When she’s not steering the firm’s communications, Susan is likely steering a sailboat on Lake Michigan—or thinking about it.

She received a B.S. in Journalism from Southern Illinois University and works as a freelance copywriter, partnering with businesses and marketing agencies nationwide.

Susan also runs Treasure Alice, an online resale shop that curates vintage finds from estate sales and thrift shops.

For the firm, she uses her creativity, strategic thinking, and positive energy to keep it connected, visible, and moving forward.
